    (Cameron) Vanessa Alvarez of Cameron, infant daughter of Miguel and Christine Corona, died Thursday, June 28, 2001 at King Daughter's Hospital in Temple. Funeral services held Monday, July 2nd at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Infant Alvarez was born June 28, 2001 in the Temple.
    She is survived by her parents, Christine and Miguel Alvarez; paternal grandparents, Acasio and Delfina Alvarez of Mexico; maternal grandparents, Damon and Josephine Corona of Cameron; maternal great grandmother, Guadalupe Flores of Cameron; 4 brothers, Joshua, Emmanuel, Mauri and Oscar Alvarez of Cameron and a sister, Denise Medallion Alvarez of Cameron.
Amaya, Pete R.
    (Cameron) Pete R. Amaya, 54, of Bryan, died Tuesday, August 14, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services held Friday, August 17th at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial at Hernandez Cemetery. Mr. Amaya was born December 28, 1946 in Cameron to Hilario Amaya, Jr. and Angela Reyes. Mr. Amaya worked as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
    He is survived by 6 sons, Pete, Jr. of Austin, Mike of San Antonio, Manuel, Robert, Richard and Paul Amaya, all of Bryan; a daughter, Frances Amaya of Bryan; 3 brothers, Henry of Bakersfield, CA, Joe and Tony Amaya, both of Bryan; 2 sisters, Lucinda Garcia Sibrian and Janie Flores; a step-sister, Lute Turubiatez, all of Bryan; and 11 grandchildren.
Angell, Marietta Boyd
    (Cameron) Marietta Boyd Angell, 92, of Cameron, died Friday, July 27, 2001 at Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale. Funeral services held Monday, July 30th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at Walkers Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Angell was born November 11, 1908 in Milam County to L.C. Boyd and Mary Vaughn. She was a retired teacher, having graduated from UMHB in Belton and served in the Ad Hall Community. Mrs. Angell was a member of the Little River Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, C.O. Angell in 1966.
    She is survived by 2 sons, Gene and Ferroll Angell, both of Cameron; a daughter, Faye Gwartney of Mesquite; 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Beckhusen, Mary Lou
    (Cameron) Mary Lou Beckhusen, 70, of Rogers, died Wednesday, December 5, 2001 at the Scott and White hospital in Temple. Funeral services held Saturday, December 9th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at the Hope Lutheran Memorial Park.
    Mrs. Beckhusen was born July 16, 1931 in the Leroy, TX to John Wesley Gardener and Saloma Leona Malcom. Mrs. Beckhusen was a bookkeeper for GMAC in Waco. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Thelma Jean Howard and Fay Knight.
    She is survived by her husband, G.H. "Beck" Beckhusen of Rogers; a daughter, Dale Frances Beckhusen of Rogers; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Bolding of Cameron and Naomi Shoemake of College Station.
Blake, Sarah Irene
    (Cameron) Sarah Irene Blake of Cameron, 95, died Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at Central Texas Hospital. Graveside funeral services held Thursday, July 12th at Norwood Cemetery in Hearne. Mrs. Blake was born in Mineola on December 14, 1905 to William Henry Rouse and Bertie Ellen Moseley. She was a bookkeeper and secretary for Coca Cola in Hearne and Cameron. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cameron. Mrs. Simek was preceded in death by Fred Blake and Marion Boulmay; 2 brothers and 5 sisters.
    Mrs. Blake is survived by her stepson, Gene Blake and wife, Lucille of Cameron; a sister, Mabel R. Clarke of Cameron and 6 step grandchildren.
Boney, John Lewis
    (Cameron) John Lewis Boney, 70, of Cameron, died Tuesday, September 4, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services held Friday, September 7th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at Little River Cemetery. Mr. Boney was born July 1, 1931 in Madisonville to Walter Boney and Bertie Blagrave. Mr. Boney retired from the Air Force with the rank of Master Sargent and worked as the building manager for the Herman Hospital Estate.
    Mr Boney was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Evelyn and Vivian, and a son, Walter M. Boney.
    He is survived by his wife, Eileen Boney of Cameron; 3 daughters, Patricia Benson of Union City, CA, Kimberly Price of Dallas, and Donna Ceccanti of Castrol Valley, CA; 1 brother, Howard B. Boney and wife, Marcelle, of Kilgore; 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

Brazeal, Grady Wayne

    (Buckholts) Grady Wayne Brazeal, 42 of Buckholts, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Heidenheimer. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 27th at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial in St. Monica's Cemetery.
    Mr. Brazeal, a truck driver for McLane Southwest, was born on September 9th, 1958 in San Angelo to Willis Carol and Minnie Faye Rodgers Brazeal. He graduated from Odessa High School. Mr. Brazeal married Marilyn Marek on June 14, 1980.
    Survivors include: his wife, Marilyn Marek Brazeal of Buckholts; 2 sons: David Alan and Derek Wayne of Buckholts.
    His mother, Minnie Brazeal of Temple; 4 brothers; Billy of San Angelo, Willis, Jr. of Ft. Worth, and Roy and Hank of Temple; 3 sisters; Mary Parker of Ft. Worth, Brenda Bump of San Angelo and Ellen Wright of Temple.
Brinkley, Gary
    (Cameron) Gary Brinkley, 59, of Cameron, died October 28, 2000. Mr. Brinkley's body was disinterred from a previous location and graveside services held Friday, December 21st at Walker's Creek Cemetery.
    Mr. Brinkley was born December 21, 1941 in Odessa, TX to Rueben Brinkley and Joyce Boynton. He was an internal auditor for the Texas Railroad Commission. Mr. Brinkley was married to Rosalind Ruth Wade.
    He is survived by his wife, Rosalind Ruth Brinkley of Cameron; his mother Joyce Boynton Brinkley of San Saba; a son, Michael David of South Lake Tahoe, CA; a daughter, Lori Kay Avila of Cameron; a brother, David Brinkley of Houston; and 2 grandchildren.
Buhl, Steven Ray, Jr.
    (Cameron) Steven Ray Buhl, Jr., infant son of Steven Ray Buhl, Sr. and Bridgett Chawntel Jones of Rosebud, died Wednesday, November 7, 2001 at Scott and White Hospital. Graveside funeral services held Monday, November 12th at Clover Hill Cemetery in Lott.
    The Buhl infant survived by his parents, by maternal grandparents, Marvin and Linda Whitfield of Rosebud; great grandparents, Judge Whitfield and Effie Jones of Rosebud; great grandparents, Seattle and Helen Ross of Rosebud; paternal grandparent, Leon Buhl of Lott and great grandparent, Sonnyboy Douglas of Ft. Worth.

Carabin, Bernard Marcellus, Jr.
    (Cameron) Bernard Marcellus Carabin, Jr., 77, of Cameron died on Wednesday, January 24, 2001 at his residence. Graveside funeral services held Friday, January 26th at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Carabin was born on February 1, 1923 in Port Arthur to Bernard Marcellus Carabin, Sr. and Ruby Mavis. Mr. Carabin was a veteran of WWII, having served in the US Navy and worked as a jeweler and watchmaker.
    Mr. Carabin is survived by 4 sisters, Jane Litchfield of Boise, Idaho, Cherise Kelly of Spring, Holly Martinez and Tracy York, both of Cameron;3 grandchildren, also survive.
Castillo, Jaynie Marie
    (Cameron) Herman Joseph Hanel, 50, of Houston died Tuesday, November 13, 2001 at her residence. Graveside funeral services held Friday, November 16th at Oak Hill Cemetery.
    Ms. Castillo was born October 6, 1951 in Trenton, MI to William A. Miller and Grace Doris Cohoon. Ms. Castillo was a telemarketer and boarding house manager.
    She is survived by her step-mother, Joyce Miller of Decker, MI; a son, William Terry Castillo of Houston; 2 brothers, William C. and Terry Miller, both of Cameron; 2 step-brothers, Alfred Laugavitz and Gordon Miller, both of MI.; 6 sisters, Sherry Miller of Houston, Linda Miller Jimenez of AL, Merry Jo Robles of Sommerville, Denise Martinez of Houston, Diane Salvato of Lufkin, Debra Barnes of Vassar, MI, and Yvonne Miller of MI.; 3 step-sisters, Irene Laugavitz of Decker, MI, Martha Lee of Sandusky, MI and Ann Barnett of East Point, MI.
Chudej, Gracie Louise
    (Cameron) Gracie Louise Chudej, 57, of Academy, died Saturday, September 15, 2001 at her resiedence. Funeral services held Tuesday, September 18th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at Corinth Cemetery in Buckholts. Mrs. Chudej was born August 7, 1944 in Temple to Oscar L. Hines and Gracie A. Heath. Mrs. Chudej was raised in Davila and graduated from Bartlett High School. She married Raymond M. Chudej and worked as a secretary at the Olin E. Teague Federal Building for 37 years.
    Mrs. Chudej was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Melvin cheduj, Jr. on November 11, 1986.
    She is survived by her husband, Raymond Chudej, Sr. of Little River-Academy; a son, Randy W. Chudej and wife, Traceylyn of Little River-Academy; a brother, Frank T. Hines of Fairfax Station, VA.
Clements, Florence
    (Cameron) Florence Clements, 98, of Temple died on Friday, March 16, 2001 at Scott & White Hospital. Funeral services held on Monday, March 19th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Clements was born April 30, 1902 to Frank Kolba and Frances Schiller. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Clements was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Wallace Clements in 1976, 3 brothers, William, Ed and Frank Kolba, and 2 sisters, Emma Marak and Frances Sneed.
    Mrs. Clements is survived by a son, Robert Monroe Clements of Houston; a daughter, Ann Terry of Temple; 5 grandchildren, Michael and Brett Clements, Mark, Steven, and David Terry; and 7 great grandchildren, Nathan, Angela, Joshua, Chloe Clements, Hannah, Lydia and Joseph Terry,also survive.
Collins, Andrew Ross
    (Cameron) Andrew Ross Collins, 5, of Cameron, died December 17, 2001 at his residence in Bell County. Funeral services held Thursday, December 20th at SS Cyril Catholic Church in Marak with burial in the Ben Arnold Cemetery.
    Young Andrew was born August 19, 1996 in Dallas to Craig Dale Collins and Vickie Michelle Vaculin. He had been at the Central Texas Childrens Center.
    He is survived by his parents, Craig Dale Collins and Vickie Michelle Vaculin of Zabcikville; maternal grandparents, Bill and Barbara Collins and Emil and Joyce Vaculin, both of Cameron; great maternal grandparent, Ida Hertenberger of Cameron.
Cook, Lillie Gloria
    (Cameron) Lillie Gloria Cook, 90, of Cleburne, died Thursday, December 6, 2001 at the Walls Regional Hospital in Cleburne. Funeral services held Sunday, December 9th in Cameron, TX with burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Cook was born September 27, 1911 in Tarrant County to Carl and Georgie Cook.
    She was a dietician by profession. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Cook and a son, David Cook.
    Survivors include two sons, Leroy Cook of Vidor and John Cook of Cleburne; two daughters, Christine Uselton of Burleson and Carolyn Goza of Cedar Springs.

Crawford, Woody

    (Cameron) Woody Crawford, 83 of Cameron, died Saturday, July 7, 2001 at a local hospital. No funeral services were held. His body was cremated. Visitation was at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home.
    Mr. Crawford, an avid football fan, was born on August 18, 1917 in Cameron to Timothy Armstrong and Florence Storey Crawford. He graduated from C.H. Yoe High School in 1936, where he played varsity football. Mr. Crawford was an Army veteran of W.W. II. He was worked as an oil and gas landman, in addition to owning the Front Porch Auto Sales.
    Survivors include: 3 sons: Woodrow Wayne of San Antonio, Larry G. of Tomball and Richard D. of Jersey Village.
    3 half-sisters; JoAnn Norman of Port Charlotte, FLA., Dorothy Deaver of Irving, and Jean Muller of Ocala, FLA.;
    Step-mother, Pansy Crawford of Cameron; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Crenan, Clara Gleason

    (Cameron) Clara Gleason Crenan, 101 of Cameron, died Tuesday, June 26, 2001. Funeral services were held Friday, June 29th at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial in St. Monica's Cemetery.
    Mrs. Crenan, a retired homemaker and long time resident of Milam County, was born on January 27th, 1900 in Burlington to Frank Patrick and Josephine Wunsch Gleason. She married Bartle Crenan on October 23, 1923 and he preceeded her in death in 1961. Mrs. Crenan was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church. She was also preceeded in death by her son, William J. Crenan in 1999.
    Survivors include: 1 daughter, Ellen Crenan of Cameron; her daughter-in-law, Martha Nell Crenan of College Station; 4 grandchildren, Jim Crenan of the Wilson Community, Donna Ryan, Laura Taylor and Mary Culpepper, all of College Station.
    13 great-grandchildren, also survive.
Crook, James Elliott
    (Cameron) Preston Delmond Pagel, 80, of Temple, died Sunday, November 25, 2001 at the Central Texas Hospital in Cameron. Funeral services held Wednesday, November 28th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
    Mr. Crook was born September 22, 1906 in Jones Prairie to William Lonnie Crook and Josephine Sullivan. Mr. Crook was a member of the First Baptist Church and worked as a self-employed paint contractor. He graduated from Waco High School and attended Baylor University. He married Eula Florence Cobb in June 23, 1932. Mr. Crook was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters.
    He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Eula Crook of Cameron; 1 daughter, Carol Ann Litzman and husband, Ron Litzman; 2 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Dalton, Gregory Thomas
    (Cameron) Gregory Thomas Dalton, 37, of Pasadena, died Friday, August 3, 2001 in Friendswood. Graveside funeral services held Saturday, August 18th at the Little River Cemetery. Mr. Dalton was born October 19, 1963 in Houston to Ralph Dalton and Janice Bailey.
    He is survived by his grandmother, Teena Bailey of Rosebud and a sister, Janna Bailey of Houston.
Denson, John Talley
    (Cameron) John Talley Denson, 69, of Temple died on Sunday, March 18, 2001 in Marun, VA. Funeral services held on Wednesday, March 21st at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Mr. Denson was cremated. He was born June 10, 1931 to Thomas Leland Denson and Ann Ruth Johnson. Mr. Denson was a veteran of the US Navy and worked as an insurance claims adjuster.
    Mr. Denson is survived by 2 sons, Thomas Mark Denson of Red Oak and Howard Craig Denson of Maumelle, AK; a sister, Dierdre Riley of Cameron; 2 grandchildren, also survive.
Dickey, Randolph Lydell
    (Cameron) Randolph Lydell Dickey, 83, of Irving died on Monday, March 12, 2001 in Silver Hills, N.H. Graveside funeral services held Wednesday, March 14th at Pebble Grove Cemetery. Mr. Dickey was born on October 7, 1917 in Maysfield to Alex Dickey and Hassie Dansby. Mr. Dickey was a veteran of the US Army and worked as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Dickey in 1999 and a son, Allen Dickey.
    Mr. Dickey is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sue Dickey of Irving, as well as, 3 grandchildren, Staci Jill Dickey Bratcher, Judd Austin Dickey and Garrett Shane Dickey.
Ditto, Carrie Neal
    (Cameron) Carrie Neal Ditto, 92, of Cameron died on Saturday, January 27, 2001 at Central Texas Hospital. Funeral services held Monday, January 29th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at Liberty Cemetery. Mrs. Ditto was born on February 17, 1908 in the Hanover Community to Alexander F. Robinson and Mary Ditto. Mrs. Ditto was a homemaker. Mrs. Ditto was preceded in death by her husband, Ike Ditto, in April 25, 1979.
    Mrs. Ditto is survived by a son, George Ditto of Austin; 2 daughters, Mary Jo Woods and Kay Roraw and husband, Edward, both all of Cameron; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, also survive.

    (Cameron) William (Bill) Carroll Eichinger, 65, of Cameron, died Saturday, September 29, 2001 at Central Texas Hospital. Funeral services held Monday, October 1, 2002 at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial in the Pebble Grove Cemetery. Mr. Eichinger was born March 29, 1936 in Burleson County to Frank Eichinger and Olive Sanders. Mr. Eichinger was a horticulturist. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters Anna Marie McKnight and Eula Mae McBride.
    Mr. Eichinger is survived by a son, Carl Acosta of Cameron; a daughter, Trish Vargas of Cameron; 6 brothers, Edward of Cameron, Thomas of Rockdale, John, Joe, Jim and Leland, all of Cameron and Doug Eichinger of Bremond; 5 sisters, Bertha Carter of Georgetown, Mary Shipwash of Austin, Lois of Tahlequah, OK, Lana Coker, and Betty Sue Chatham of Austin; 6 grandchildren, also survive.

Farek, Marvin J.
    (Cameron) Marvin J. Farek, 80, of Corpus Christi died Saturday, November 13, 2001. Funeral services held Saturday, November 17th at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial in the church mausoleum.
    Mr. Farek was born September 8, 1921 in Axtell to Joe J. and Ann Farek. Mr. Farek was a veteran of WWII and a civil service employee for the U.S.Army Air Corps as an aircraft maintenance analyst.
    He is survived by his wife, Caroline Farek of Corpus Christi; 2 sons, Marvin J. Farek of Rockdale and Dr. Paul E. Farek of Corpus Christi; a daughter, Cindy Farek of Conroe and 2 grandchildren.
Flores, Catarino
    (Cameron) Catarino Flores, 86, of Cameron died on Monday, April 9, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services held Wednesday, April 11th at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial at Hernandez Cemetery. Mr. Flores was born on February 14, 1915 in Red Rock, TX to Ambrose Flores and Savera Algarine. Mr. Flores was retired from the Santa Fe Railroad where he had worked as a laborer.
    Mr. Flores is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Rivera Flores of Cameron; 2 sons, Marcelino Flores of Cameron and Michael Flores of Temple; 4 daughters, Josephine Corona, Gloria Lopez, Mary Ann Lopez, all of Cameron and Mary Henrietta Brewer of Washington, DC; 25 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, also survive.
Foster, Dorothy Marie
    (Cameron) Dorothy Marie Foster, 84, of Cameron died Friday, May 11, 2001 at Manor Oaks Nursing Home in Rockdale. Funeral services held Sunday, May 13 at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial in the Little River Cemetery. Mrs. Foster was born October 8, 1916 in Ft. Worth to Daniel Allen and Pearl Conatser. Mrs. Foster was a graduate of Texas Wesleyan College and taught in Rogers and Cameron schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Henry Foster; a grandson, Steve Shook; a son-in-law, Allen Boyer; a sister, Evelyn Slater and a brother, Bill Allen.
    She is survived by 3 sons, Robert Henry and Daniel William Foster, both of Branchville and George Allen Foster of Lorena; 2 daughters, Rbecca Boyer of Pflugerville and Nancy Shook of San Saba; 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, also survive.
Fry, Ruby E. (Daisy)
    (Cameron) Ruby E. (Daisy) Fry, 72, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died Saturday, November 17, 2001. Funeral services held Wednesday, November 21st at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery.
    Mrs. Fry was born February 3, 1929 in Cameron to Herbert Bennett and Ruby Y. Vacner. Mrs. Fry worked in retail sales for many years at L&M Jewelers before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mrs. Fry was preceded in death by her parents.
    She is survived by 2 sons; Jim Fry of Colorado Springs, CO and Claude Fry of Nenoir, NC; a daughter, Cheryl Franks of Tyler and a brother, William Purcell Bennett of Rockdale; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Goddard, Velma Johnson
    (Cameron) Velma Johnson Goddard, 94, of Cameron died Monday, January 1, 2001 at Central Texas Hospital. Graveside funeral services held Sunday, January 2nd at Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Goddard was born on November 1, 1906 in Leonard to Joseph Johnson and Mary Luola Pace. Mrs. Goddard was a legal secretary. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 23, 1990.
    Mrs. Goddard is survived by a daughter, Barbara Rogers Dowdy of Bellaire; 2 grandchildren and a grandchild, also survive.
Greger, Jo Webb
    Jo Webb Greger, 71 of Lott died Friday, February 7, 2003 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron. Burial will follow in the Hope Lutheran Memorial Park. Family visitation will be held Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Greger, a retired quality control inspector for Marathon Batteries in Waco, was born September 28, 1931 in Globe, Arizona to Ira Hines and Doris Runnels Webb. She is survived by 5 sons, Michael Gregor of Westphalia, Nick Gregor of Lott, Richard Greger of Rosebud, Dale Greger of Lott, Tony Greger of Temple, by 6 daughters, Linda Raley of Grapevine, Ann Wilde of Westphalia, Donna Renaud of Houston, Denise Larson of Lewisville, Peggy Eckman of Rockdale, Jeanne Wallace of Waco, 1 brother Clarence Webb of Kansas, 23 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Hanel, Herman Joseph
    (Cameron) Herman Joseph Hanel, 75, of Cameron died Sunday, November 14, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services held Friday, November 16th at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial in the church mausoleum.
    Mr. Hanel was born June 15, 1926 in Cameron to Frank Hanel and Rosina Kunz. Mr. Hanel graduated from Yoe High School in 1944 and was a veteran of WWII having served in the U.S.Army Air Corps. He worked as a welder-machinist.
    He is survived by his wife, Doris Hanel of Cameron; 2 sons, Arthur Hanel of Houston and Stephen Hanel of Cameron; 2 daughters, Sharon Bierschenk of Pfluggerville and Marilyn Jekel of Cameron; a brother, Clarence Hanel of Cameron; 5 sisters, Dottie Hobizan of Temple, Anna Jetter of San Antonio, Rita Greenwood of Austrailia, Joan Gallup of Oregon and Imelda Peschel of Ft. Worth; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

    (Cameron) Matilda Teresa Havlik, 99 of Cameron, died Wednesday, June 26, 2001 in a local nursing home. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 30th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
    Mrs. Havlik, a homemaker, was born on June 2nd, 1902 to Anton and Annie Petak Tomasek in Milam County.
    She was preceeded in death by her husband, Henry, in 1979, and a grandson. She is survived by 2 sons; Henry of Cameron and James "Jimmy" of Houston.
    1 daughter; Nora Lee Zavodny of Cameron. 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Hayes, Reginald Roland
    (Cameron) Reginald Roland Hayes, 75, of Cameron, died Wednesday, September 9, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services held Saturday, September 8th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at Ben Arnold Cemetery. Mr. Hayes was born April 4, 1926 in Cameron to Moody H. Hayes and Zelia Clore. Mr. Hayes was a Navy veteran of WWII and worked as an accountant/clerk with Superior Oil Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
    He is survived by his wife, Melba Hayes of Cameron; a son, James Reginald Hayes of Hattisburg, MS; a daughter, Linda Schmidt of Mathis, TX and a sister, Valeria Phillipus of Lexington.
Heinz, Fred Jr.
    (Cameron) Fred Heinz, Jr., 62, of Copperas Cove, died Thursday, November 29, 2001 at Killeen Metroplex hospital in Killeen. Funeral services held Saturday, December 1st at St. Monica's Catholic Church in Cameron with burial in the church cemetery.
    Mr. Heinz was born November 20, 1939 in Cameron to Fred Joseph Heinz and Carolina Katherine Giesie.
    He is survived by 3 sisters, Marie Garrard of Cameron, Betty Davis of Bryan and Ann Susik of Corpus Christi.
Hensley, Charles Edward
    (Cameron) Charles Edward Hensley, 79, of Cameron died Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services held Friday, June 15th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at Walker's Creek Cemetery. Mr. Hensley was born June 15, 1921 in the Hoyte Community to Clyde Westbrook Hensley and Lovey Pearl Angell. Mr. Hensley was a veteran of WWII, having served in the US Air Force, he was a farmer and rancher. Mr. Hensley was married to Susie Flores.
    He is survived by his wife, Susie of Cameron; 2 sons, Mark Hensley of Cameron and Mike Hensley of Austin; one brother, Debs Hensley of Hotye; 2 grandchildren, also survive.
Hubnik, Frank Joe, Jr.
    (Cameron) Frank Joe Hubnik, Jr., 52, of Cameron died Saturday, June 2, 2001 at Abilene Regional Hospital in Taylor County. Funeral services held Monday, June 4th at St. Cyril & Methodius Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Hubnik was born August 11, 1948 in Cameron to Frank Joe Hubnik and Helen Frances Zavrel. He was a surveyor for the USDA ASCS office. He married Marcella Ann McNiel in 1968.
    He is survived by his parents, Frank and Helen Hubnik of Cameron; his wife, Marcella Ann of Cameron; a son, Timothy Matthews of Lorena; 4 daughters, Sherry Mueck of Cameron, Michele Smith, Tammy Hubnik Adams and Toni Jo Hubnik, all of Temple; 5 sisters, Georgia Ann Glaser of Henderson, Caroline Gelner, Rosalie Kostroun, Mary Frances Vansa and Barbara Vansa, all of Cameron; 7 grandchildren, also survive.

    (Cameron) Henry Charles Hubnik, Sr., 64, of Cameron died Sunday, January 21, 2001 at Olin E. Teague Veterans Medical Center. Funeral services held Wednesday, January 24th at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with burial at the church cemetery. Mr. Hubnik was born on May 16, 1936 in Cameron to John Herry Hubnik and Mary Gelner Hubnik. Mr. Hubnik was a veteran of the US Army having served in the National Guard. He was a farmer and rancher and retired from Walled Lake Door Factory. Mr. Hubnik was preceded in death by his father John Jerry Hubnik and a grandson, Johnathan Rubin Hubnik.
    Mr. Hubnik is survived by his mother, Mary Hubnik; his wife, Katherine Motl Hubnik of Cameron; 4 sons, Larry, Henry, Jr., Sharwn, and Carl Hubnik, all of Cameron; 2 daughters, Magie Hoelscher of Seaton and Janice Johnson of Cameron; 3 brothers, Louis of Temple, Stanley, and Milton Hubnik, both of Cameron; a sister, Mary Ann Seaton of Cameron; 9 grandchildren, also survive.

    (Cameron) Lillie Hundl, 92, of Cameron died Saturday, May 26, 2001 at Scott & White Hospital. Funeral services held Tuesday, May 29th at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hundl was born May 24, 1909 in Flatonia to Adolph Hundl and Frances Mikesh. She was a domestic housekeeper. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 7 sisters.

    (Cameron) Frank Clarence Janicek, 87, of Buckholts, died Friday, August 3, 2001 at Winnie L. Nursing Home. Funeral services held Sunday, August 5th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at Hope Luthern Memorial Park. Mr. Janicek was born November 29, 1913 in Bell County to John Janicek and Albina Repka. He was a retired machinist for American Desk. Mr. Janicek was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jean in 1980.
    Survivors include a son, Kenneth Janicek of Cameron; a brother, Jerry Janicek of Dallas; a grandchild and two great grandchildren.
Jimenez, Manuel
    (Cameron) Manuel Jimenez, 81, of Cameron, died Sunday, October 7, 2001 at his residence. Burial service held Monday, October 8th at St. Monica's Catholic Church Cemetery. Mr. Jimenez was born January 19, 1920 in Milam County to Francisco Jimenez and Anastacia Flores. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a laborer for 36 years. He was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eduvijen Sotero Jimenez in 1980 and a daughter, Maria Jimenez.
    He is survived by a son, Raymond Jimenez of Cameron; a brother, Gillermo Jimenez of Madisonville and 2 grandchildren.
Jones, Mabel Clara
    (Cameron) Mabel Clara Jones, 84, of Ben Arnold, died Monday, December 31, 2001 at the Central Texas Hospital. Funeral services held Thursday, January 3rd at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial in New Braunfels, TX at the Comal Cemetery.
    Mrs. Jones was born March 14, 1917 in Cape Fair, Missouri to James Costlow and Maude Mae Porter. She was a seamstress for the Castro Dress Factory. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Ben Arnold.
    Mrs. Jones is survived by three daughters, Nova Jones of Ben Arnold, Vel Anderson of Houston, and Kim Taylor of New Braunfels; one brother, Nelson Costlow of Aurora, Missouri; one sister, Norsine Costlow of California; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

    (Cameron) Ella Mae Junek, 72, of Buckholts died on Monday, April 2, 2001 at Scott & White Hospital. Funeral services held Thursday, April 5th at the Hope Lutheran Church with burial in the Hope Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Junek was born on November 17, 1928 in Brenham, TX to Ernest Weidner, Sr. and Ella Marie Kettler. Mrs. Junek worked as a cook for the Colonial Nursing Home. Mrs. Junek was preceded in death by her husband, W.B. Junek, Jr. in 1992, her father in 1982 and her mother in 1993.
    Mrs. Junek is survived by a son, David Junek of Temple; 3 daughters, Shirley Weddle of Mesquite, Marilyn Gonzalez of Belton and Susan Dean of Minerva; a brother, Ernest Weidner, Jr. of Katy; 6 grandchildren, Jarrod and Clatton Junke, Matthew Weddle, Jessica Gonzalez, and Williiam and Patrick Dean; 3 nephews, also survive.

    (Cameron) Edna Molly Kelm, 89, of Ben Arnold, died Wednesday, December 13, 2001 at the Winnie L. Nursing facility. Funeral services held Saturday, December 15th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial in the Ben Arnold Cemetery.
    Mrs. Kelm was born July 6, 1912 in Ben Arnold to John Otto Kelm and Anna Minnie Louise Boedeker. Mrs. Kelm was a homemaker and member of the United Church of Christ in Ben Arnold.
    She is survived by a brother, Walter Kelm of Lakewood, CO.

    (Cameron) Harvey Ken Kimbrel, 62, of Moody died on Sunday, February 25, 2001 at Scott & White Hospital. Graveside funeral services held Thursday, March 1st at Milano City Cemetery. Mr. Kimbrel was born on September 28, 1938 in Rogers to Troy Kimbrel and Laura Harris. Mr. Kimbrel was a rancher.

    (Cameron) Thomas Marvin Kirk, 81, of Cameron, died Thursday, September 6, 2001 at the Manor Oaks Nursing Home. Mr. Kirk was born March 3, 1920 in the Hanover community to Marvin Lewis Kirk and Annie Mae Blankenship. Mr. Kirk was an Army veteran of WWII and worked as a serviceman for Lone Star Gas Company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
    He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Walker Kirk of Cameron; two sons, Wayne and wife, Jeanie Kirk of Milano and Jack and wife, Cindy Kirk of Snook; two daughters, Elizabeth Sears of Arlington and Paula and husband, Mark Woods of Cameron; 3 brothers, Arnold of Alvin, Andy and Jerry Kirk, both of Rockdale; 3 sisters, Kathryn Williams of Big Sandy, Nellie Jean Odstrcil and JoAnn Riley, both of Cameron.

Marek and Evelyn Anna Provasek. Mr. Marek was owner and operator of Main Printing in Cameron.
    Mr. Marek is survived by his wife, Evelyn Marek of Cameron; a son, Mike and wife, Janice of Cameron; 2 daughters, Janet Rasur of Plano and Becky Green and husband, Randy of Round Rock; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grand child.
Martin, Gloria Uwella
    (Cameron) Gloria Uwella Martin, 69, of Cameron died Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at Scott & White Hospital. Funeral services held Saturday, May 26th at First Baptist Church with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Martin was born November 7, 1931 in Chadron, NB to Frances Edy Randall and Wilma Maranatha Blundei. Mrs. Martin had worked for Alcoa in the communications department for 25 years. She married Bobby Gene Martin on December 11, 1951 in Cleburne.
    She is survived by her husband, Bob G. Martin of Cameron; 2 sons, Billy Martin of Cameron and David Martin of Grapeland; 2 brothers, Ricky and Ashton Randal, both of Colorado Springs; 4 grandchildren, also survive.
McCoslin, Dwight Lee
    (Cameron) Dwight Lee McCoslin, 43, of Spring, TX died on Monday, April 30, 2001 at his residence. Mr. McCoslin was cremated on Thursday, May 3rd. A memorial service was held at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home in Spring. Mr. McCoslin was born on December 26, 1957 in Houston to Waymond Dwight McCoslin and Carleen Sue Sanders. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a construction contractor for Stockman Construction. He was preceded in death by his father, Waymond Dwight McCoslin.
    Mr. McCoslin is survived by his wife, Tara McCoslin of Spring; his mother, Carleen and step-father, George Read; 2 daughters, Lauren Carleen and Jordan Leigh McCoslin of Spring; 2 sisters, Susan McCoslin of Houston and Glenda Sue Perkins of Spring Branch.
Meek, Raymond James
    (Cameron) Raymond James Meeks, 81, of Cameron, died Thursday, October 18, 2001 at Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale. Funeral Services held October 22nd at St. Michael's Cahtolic Church in Burlington with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Meeks was born on December 1, 1919 in Milam County to John Edmonds Meeks and Hattie Granzer. He worked as a farmer and as a custodian for Rosebud-Lott ISD for 20 years. Mr. Meeks was preceded in death by a son, Allen William Meeks in January 16, 2000, as well as, 11 brothers and 1 sister.
    Mr. Meeks is survived by his long-time companion, Lenora Smolinski; a son, Melvin Meek of Austin; a daughter, Linda Gudat of Nathrop, CO; and a sister, Bonnie Henkel of Ft. Worth.

    (Cameron) John Edmund Meeks, Jr., 95, of Burlington, died Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at the Summit Hospital in Austin. Mr. Meeks was born December 26, 1905 in Milam County to John Edmund Meeks and Hattie Granzer. Mr. Meeks was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Margaret in October 24, 1996.
    He is survived by 2 sons, Rev. Delphyn J. Meeks of Mauriceville and Clifford Meeks and wife, Patsy of Pearland; a brother, Raymond Meeks of Cameron; a sister, Bonnie Henkle of Ft. Worth; and 1 grandchild.

Mr. Melcer was born March 29, 1922 in the Bryan to August Pete Melcer, Sr. and Emma Amezia Luther. Mr. Melcer was married to Willie Ellen Duncan and was a rancher and cowboy.
    He is survived by his wife, Ellen Melcer of Jones Prairie; 4 sons, Paul of Jones Prairie, Kenneth Lee of Calvert, Jim Henry of Jones Prairie, and Larry Nash Melcer of Cleveland; 3 daughters, Ethel Armstrong and husband, David of Channelview, Janie Melcer and husband, Kenneth of Maysfield, Sharon Jaggers and husband, Donald of Maysfield; 2 sisters, Geneva Melcer of Houston and Mary Margaret Lindsey of Cameron; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, also survive.     (Cameron) Hattie Michalka, 77, of Cameron, died Thursday, August 30, 2001 at the Manor Care East in Temple. Funeral services held Friday, September 7th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at St. Monica's Cemetery. Mrs. Michalka was born January 15, 1924 in Milam County to Robert Strutz and Antonie Dueser. Mrs. Michalka worked for Ideal Poultry. Mrs. Michalka was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Michalka in October 19, 2000.
    She is survived by 5 sons, Eugene L. Michalka of Pasadena, Edmond A. and James Michalka, both of Cameron, Leo Edward Michalka of Belton and Carroll Michalka of Rogers; a daughter, Brenda J. Williams of Rogers; a brother, Paul Strutz of Cameron; a sister, Marie Friemel; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

    (Cameron) Judy Ann Miller, 56, of Temple died on Friday, March 30, 2001 at her residence. Mrs. Miller was cremated and services were held Tuesday, April 3rd at Liberty Community Cemetery. Mrs. Miller was born on June 25, 1945 in Cameron to Adrian Doyle (Pug) Miller and Opal Swift. She was a medical secretary at an area hospital.
    Mrs. Miller is survived by her mother, Opal Miller of Cameron; a son, Jason Edward Miller of Navasota; and a sister, Brenda Andrews of Little River-Academy.

    (Cameron) Catarina Montalbo, 88, of Buckholts, died Saturday, September 29, 2001 at Spohn Memorial Medical Center in Corpus Christi. Mrs. Montalbo was born May 5, 1913 in San Gabriel to Porfilio Martinez and Sylvesta Renado. Mrs. Montalbo was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolfo Montalbo in 1985 and one grandson, Chris Lopez.
    Mrs. Montalbo is survived by 2 sons, Valentino and Jimmy Montalbo, both of Buckholts; 2 daughters, Victoria Lopez of Corpus Christi and Tonie Lopez of Buckholts; 3 sisters, Nicole Montalbo of Rogers, Frances Martinez and Mary Martinez, both of Belton; 13 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

    (Cameron) Paul Joseph Lopez, 20, of Cameron, died Tuesday, October 30, 2001 in an automobile accident. Graveside funeral services held at Oak Hill Cemetery Friday, November 2nd.
    Weldon Dwayne Moore is survived by his parents, Tammy Wheeler of Rockdale and Thurman Moore of Belton; grandparents, Bill and Elfriede Streicher of Cameron and paternal grandparent, Mary Sellers of Belton.

Moraw, Mary Aline

    (Cameron) Mary Aline Moraw, 85 of Clute and formerly of Milam County, died Saturday, June 9, 2001 in a Clute nursing facility. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 12th at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial in St. Monica's Cemetery.
    Mrs. Moraw, a homemaker, was born on February 28th, 1916 in Milam County. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Brazoria. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Richard Paul Moraw in November 8, 1992.
    Survivors include:2 sons: Richard of Clute, and William of Brazoria; 4 grandsons, Ryan, Patrick, Michael and Reed.
Moraw, Willie Andrew
    (Cameron) Willie Andrew Moraw, 88, of Rosebud, died Saturday, December 23, 2001 at a Heritage House nursing facility. Funeral services held Thursday, December 27th at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
    Mr. Moraw was born July 14, 1913 in Milam County to Frank Moraw and Frances Michalka, he was a life long farmer. Mr. Moraw married his first wife, Della Marie Moraw, who preceded him in death in 1972. He was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church, a 4th degree Knights of Columbus member and a charter member of Boy Scout Troop 452.
    He is survived by his wife, Ethel Lueck Moraw of Rosebud; 2 sons, Edward and Robert Moraw of Cameron; 2 brothers, August of Bossier City, LA and Albert Moraw of Tampa, FLA; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

    (Cameron) Josephine Ann Mueck, 65, of Houston and formerly of Milam County, died December 17, 2001 in a Houston hospital. Funeral services held Friday, December 21st at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
    Mrs. Mueck was born November 14, 1936 to Will Biskup and Ida Ondrej. She graduated from YOE High Schools and was a clerk-typist for an insurance company.

    (Cameron) Billy Jim Nabours, 67, of Cameron died on Saturday, April 28, 2001 at his residence. Graveside funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 1st at the Salem Cemetery. Billy was born on May 25, 1933 in Milam County to Robert Homer Nabours and Riebe Fisher. He was a machinist for the Royal Seating Corp.

    (Cameron) Clara Alice Nichols, 71 of Cameron and formerly of Beaver, Oklahoma, died Sunday, June 24, 2001 in a Bryan hospital. Graveside funeral services were held Friday, June 29th at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron.
    Mrs. Nichols was born on March 7th, 1930 in Beaver, Oklahoma to George and Maude Jacobs Batman. She worked as a presser in a dress factory.
    She was preceeded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee Nichols in May 17, 2000.
    Survivors include: 2 sons: Terry Nichols and wife, Gayle of Cameron, Larry Nichols and wife, Pam of Caldwell.

Mrs. Padgett was born on October 2, 1908 in Lockhart, TX to Claude Carpenter and Leila G. Wright. Mrs. Padgett was a retired telephone operator. Mrs. Padgett was preceded in death by both her husbands, Rueben New in 1954 and Robert Padgett in 1982 and a brother, Homer Carpenter.
    Mrs. Padgett is survived by a daughter, Ruby Fogle and husband, Wesley of Cameron; grandson, Glenn Fogle and wife, Charlotte of Pfulgerville; and great grandson Wesley Fogle and wife, Katherine, also of Pflugerville.

    (Cameron) Preston Delmond Pagel, 80, of Temple, died Tuesday, December 4, 2001 at the Scott and White hospital in Temple. Funeral services held Friday, December 7th at First Lutheran Church in Temple with burial at Bellwood Memorial Park.
    Mr. Pagel was born May 30, 1921 in the Rosebud to Jugo August Pagel and Emma Caroline Stroh. Mr. Pagel was a member of the First Lutheran Church and worked as a florist. He was a Navy veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Lenart and Lester Pagel; one sister, Enola Sargent.

    (Buckholts) Angeline Peeler, 78 of Buckholts, died Monday, June 4, 2001 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 7th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial in the Corinth Cemetery near Buckholts.
    Mrs. Peeler, a retired homemaker, was born on August 25th, 1922 in Bryant Station to Jim Vince and Minnie Frances Slovacek Petruy. She was a member of the Buckholt's Brethern Church. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Nealon Edwin Peeler in 1993.
    Survivors include:2 sons: Edwin of Buckholts, and William of College Station.

    Mr. Pemberton was born August 19, 1907 in the Liberty Community to Frank Pemberton and Nora Ann Boggans. Mr. Pemberton was an LVN at Newton's and St. Edwards Hospitals before retiring in 1975. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, W.C. and E.M. Pemberton; and a sister, Cora Partee.

Mrs. Schoppe was born on February 17, 1924 in Burleson County to George Marek and Marie Hudec. Mrs. Schoppe was a graduate of Caldwell Schools and worked as a bookkeeper for Harvey Schiller Furniture Store.

    Mrs. Simek, a homemaker, was born on July 18th, 1910 in the Yarrellton Community to John and Frances Plsek Marek. She married John H. Simek on March 24, 1934 and preceeded her in death in 1983. She was a member of the Brethern Church. Mrs. Simek was also preceeded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.

Mr. Sipula was a US Army veteran of WWII and a worked as a farmer. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry and a sister, Rosie.

    (Cameron) John Augustus Smith, Jr., 87, of Cameron died on Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at Scott & White Hospital. Funeral services held Saturday, April 21st at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial at the Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Smith was born on January 22, 1914 in Branchville to John A. Smith and Eva Fraim. Mr. Smith was a farmer and a rancher. He was married to Adalyn Lovick, who preceded him in death in 1998, for 62 years.
    Mr. Smith is survived by a son, John A. Smith and wife, Tamarah, of College Station; 1 grandchild, John A. Smith IV, also survives.
Soefje, George
    (Cameron) George Soefje, 93, of Cameron, died Monday, December 31, 2001 at the Central Texas Hospital. Funeral services held Thursday, January 3rd in New Braunfels, TX with burial at the Comal Cemetery.
    Mr. Soefje was born February 22, 1908 in New Braunfels to Albert and Anna Rose Soefje. He married Julia Froelich on November 7, 1936, in New Braunfels. He owned and operated a registered holstein dairy in the Freiheit Community until 1971 and continued farming and ranching until September 1999 when he moved to the Winnie L. Nursing Home facility in Cameron.
    He held a life membership in the Friesian Holstein Association and Dairy Shrine Club of Wisconsin, served as director of the San Antonio Milk Producers Association and vice president of the Dairy Herd Improvement Association.
    Survivors include his wife, Julia Froelich Soefje; two daughters, Annette fo Melbourne, FLA and Christine MacDonough of Sunnyvale, CA; a son, Harold of Cameron and a sister, Mennie Pasquali; eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

    (Cameron) Amanda Amalia Stall, 99, of Cameron, died Sunday, December 30, 2001 at a Cameron nursing facility. Funeral services held Wednesday, January 2nd at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church with burial in the North Elm Cemetery.
    Mrs. Stall was born June 4, 1902 in Giddings, TX to Herman Boettcher and Mallitta Zwernemann. She was a homemaker and wife of George Stall, Jr., whom she married in October 14, 1920. Mrs. Stall was a member of the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Cameron.
    Mrs. Stall was preceded in death by her husband, George Stall, Jr. on March 12, 1985 and a daughter, Doris Tucker in 1992.

    (Cameron) Eoline Herndon Summers of Cameron, 82, died Saturday, June 30, 2001 at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston. Funeral services held Tuesday, July 3rd at All Saints Episcopal with burial in the Liberty Cemetery. Mrs. Summers was born February 12, 1919 in the Phillipine Islands to John William Brown and Katherine Adams. She was a retired teacher of 27 years at the Ft. Bend ISD.
    Mrs. Summers was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Randolph Summers, whom she married on November 20, 1941.

Mr. Summerlin was born on November 24, 1948 in Gause, TX to Frank Summerlin and Bertha Jo Williams. Mr. Summerlin worked as a brickmason in the construction business.

    Deacon Susik was born June 4, 1944 in Cameron to Frank E. Susik and Mary Elizabeth Gunn. Mr. Susik worked as a federal employee.
    He is survived by his wife, Ann Susik of Corpus Christi; his father, Frank E. Susik of Fort Stockton; a son, Frank E.     (Cameron) Anna Louise Swanson, 78, of Cameron, died Sunday, September 23, 2001 at her residence. Mrs. Swanson was cremated, Thursday, September 27th. Mrs. Swanson was born February 10, 1923 in Tulsa, OK to Edmond Cook Sleamaker and Mary Vada Cain. She was an escrow secretary for the Chicago Title Company.
    Mrs. Swanson was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Herald Swanson in 1988.

    (Cameron) William E. Taylor, 63, of Austin died on Tuesday, May 1, 2001 in Austin. Graveside funeral services held Friday, May 4th at St. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery. Mr. Taylor was married to Lorene Balcar. His parents' name were Monroe Taylor and Ada Mae Stange. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Rodriguez.
    Mr. Taylor is survived by a son, Jeff Taylor; 4 daughters, Beth Mullins, Terry Gaona, Jerry Ortiz-Rodriguez and Michelle Taylor; 5 grandchildren, also survive.
Tikkanen, Arne Jude, Jr.
    (Cameron) Arne Jude Tikkanen, 58, of Channelview, died Tuesday, September 11, 2001 at his resiedence. Mr. Tikkanen was cremated. Mr. Tikkanen was a Navy veteran and worked as a heavy equipment operator for the petrochemical and oil services. He was born November 15, 1942 in Royal Oak, Michigan to Arne Jude Tikkanen and Aletha Agnes Shornak Tikkanen.
    He is survived by his mother, Aletha Tikkanen of Cameron and a sister, Alvina Ubeda of Madrid, Spain.

    (Cameron) Ruby Dora Tomasek, 91, of Buckholts died on Monday, May 7, 2001 in the Central Texas Hospital. Graveside funeral services and burial held Thursday, May 10th at Hope Lutheran Memorial Park. Mrs. Tomasek was born December 6, 1909 in Buckholts to Fredrick Otto Richter and Ida Kuhn. Mrs. Tomasek was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius (Shorty) Tomasek in 1977; a son, Jimmy Ray in 1987; and 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
    Mrs. Tomasek is survived by 3 sons, O.J. Tomasek of Buckholts, Bill Tomasek of Burleson and Donald Tomasek of Morgan's Point; and a daughter, Inell Newman of Kansas City, MO; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, also survive.

Mrs. Tucker was born September 7, 1927 in Bell County to Cloris Anderson and Vivian Mitchell. She was a homemaker.

    (Cameron) Ray Alexander Tucker, 80, of Cameron died Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at V.A. Medical Center in Temple. Funeral services held Friday, May 25th at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Tucker was born June 10, 1920 in Thorndale to Walter Lee Tucker and Maggie Caffey. Mr. Tucker was a US Army veteran of WWII, a member of the American Legion, Edwin Hardy Post #9 and a member of the First Methodist Church. He worked as a farmer and was married to Ruth Elliot. He was preceded in death by a grandson, James Keratsopoulos, Jr.; 5 brothers, Rufus, Dooley, Bowie, Murrell and Howard; and a sister, Verlie Ashley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thornton E. Walker, in May of 1970.

    Mr. Walker was born April 14, 1917 in Smyrna Community to Thornton E. Walker and Elizabeth Lodema Morgan. Mr. Walker was a member of the First Baptist Church in Milano. He was a Army veteran of WWII, a rancher and operated a grocery store in Milano. Mr. Walker graduated from Milano schools and attended Texas A&M University. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joy Rice Walker in 1990, whom he married in 1948.
    He is survived by 2 sons; James Walker and wife, Cheryl, of Giddings and Steve Walker and wife, Linda, of Milano; 2 sisters, Beatrice Kirk of Cameron and Flonnie Boland and husband, John, of Ft. Worth and 1 grandson, Sam.

Watterson, Marion Wallace
    Marion Wallace Watterson, 59, of Olongapo City, Phillipine Islands, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001 in the Phillipines. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 9th at the Marlow Baptist Church with burial at the Marlow Community Cemetery.
    Mr. Watterson was a retired Navy veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was born August 6th, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Jack and Dorthy Dell Posey Watterson.
    He is survived by his wife, Lourdes Ebreo Watterson of the Phillipines; 1 son, Richard of Katy; his mother, Dorthy Clark of Junction; 1 brother, Weldon Watterson of Tulsa, Okla.; 1 sister, Joyce Green of Kansas City, Missouri.

    Mrs. Whittington was born February 2, 1914 in Milam County to Wiley D. Whittington and Lula Walker. Mrs. Whittington was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. She was a long-time business woman, involved in retail sales and owned a RV Park.

Funeral services held October 10th at Corinth Cemetery in Buckholts with direct cremation following. Mr. Wiley was born August 27, 1929 in Buckholts to Arlie James Loftin and Lillie Mae Nelson. He was a Marine veteran, who served in the Korean Conflict and worked in the oilfield business.
    He is survived by a brother, Floyd Loftin of Odessa; 3 sisters, Johnnie Whitaker of Del Rio, Patsy Muldey of Odessa, and Linda Butler of Cameron.
Wolfe, Richard Wateman, Jr.
    (Cameron) Richard Wateman Wolfe, Jr., 73, of Cameron, died Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at his residence. Mr. Wolfe was cremated on Thursday, October 25th.
    Mr. Wolfe was born on October 7, 1928 in Lower Salem, OH to Richard Wolfe and Jennie Harley. He was a Navy veteran and served in the Korean Conflict. He worked as a manager of retail outlets.

Mr. Zajicek was born January 20, 1911 in Buckholts to Joe Zajicek and Caroline Ermis. Mr. Zajicek was a retired farmer and rancher.

Funeral services held at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Holland with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. Zajicek was born in Temple to Raymond Zajicek, Jr. and Virginia Moeller Zajicek. Mr. Zajicek graduated from Holland High School in 2000. He was active in football, basketball, track and baseball. He was attending Temple College and worked for United Parcel Service.
    He is survived by 5 brothers, Raymond III, Scott, Brad, Kevin, and Aaron Zajicek, all of Holland; 2 sisters, Lisa Baum of Buda and Marcie Seele of Seguin.
Zalesky, Emil Anton
    (Cameron) Emil Anton Zalesky, 83, of Cameron died Thursday, May 10, 2001 at the Temple Veteran's Hospital. Funeral services held Monday, May 14 at St. Monica's Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Zalesky was born July 18, 1918 in Milam County to Joseph Zalesky and Mary Biskup. Mr. Zalesky was a US Army veteran of WWII and a worked as a blacksmith. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha in 1964; 2 brothers, Frank and Bernard Zalesky and a sister, Mary Hurtik.
    He is survived by his wife, Ann Zalesky; 2 step-sons, Ben Tepera of Grapevine and Dan Tepera of Houston; a daughter, Dolores Fisher of Houston; a step-daughter, Dolly Malone of Houston; 2 sisters, Josie Janek of Cameron and Bernice Janek of Ft. Worth; 1 grandson, 7 step-grandsons and 7 great grandchildren, also survive.
