    Aaron Aguillon, 27, of Cameron, died Monday, May 9, 2005 from results of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Martin Mendoza officiating. Burial will follow in the Hernandez Cemetery.
    Family visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
    Mr. Aguillon, a Crane Operator, was born June 4, 1976 in Cameron to Albert Aguillon of Cameron and Carmen Tena of Burnett. He was a loving Father, Son, and Brother.

    Santiago "Sandman" Aguillon, 61, of the Branchville Community, died Monday, April 11, 2005 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. John Butler officiating. Burial will follow in the Hernandez Cemetery. Family visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Aguillon, a farmer, was born February 17, 1944 in Maysfield to Alfonso and Sophia Valdez. He was married to Nancy Ann Lopez for 38 years. He was also a retired disabled Army veteran. Ammon, Joshua Alan (Josh)
    Joshua Alan (Josh) Ammon, 21, of Cameron died Sunday, July 31, 2005 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Cameron. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, at the First Baptist Church in Cameron with Rev. Gary Maroney and Rev. John Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Josh, a student at T.S.T.C. in Waco and a salesman at Rodeo Pawn in Robinson was born October 21, 1983 in Irving to Al Ammon and Brenda Gilbert Ammon. He was engaged to Emily Parker of Rockdale and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cameron. His grandfather Ernest Ammon preceded him in death.     Hayley Jo Archibeque, born April 8, 2005 at 8:05 a.m. in Temple, TX. Entered the Lord's Heavenly Kingdom on Monday, April 11, 2005, at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. Hayley is survived by her parents, Keith and Anna Archibeque of Cameron; Twin sister Hanna; sister, Tina; brother Cody; paternal grandmother, Imogene Archibeque of Edinburg; maternal grandmother Lois R.     Mary Louise Baker, 72, of Temple died Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at her home. Mrs. Baker, a retired social worker for the Veterans Administration Hospitals in Marlin and Temple, was born August 3, 1933 in Perry, Texas to Wesley and Louise (Miller) Schreiber. Johnny Kueker officiating. Burial will follow in the Hope Lutheran Memorial Park in Buckholts. Mr. Balusek, a retired carpenter and broom maker, was born October 26, 1915 in San Gabriel to Emil and Louise (Wentrcek) Balusek. He married Clara Glaser on August 2, 1942 and she preceded him in death. He was an U. S. Army veteran of WWII, a member of V.F.W. Post 2010 and S.P.J.S.T.     Gertrude Barkemeyer, 90 of Ben Arnold, died Friday, March 04, 2005 in a Cameron nursing facility. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. James Wheeless officiating. Burial will follow in the Ben Arnold Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Barkemeyer, a homemaker, was born January 24, 1915 in the Clarkson community of Milam County to Gus and Martha (Sitz) Pimpler. She married Raymond Barkemeyer October 12, 1933 and he preceded her in death September 12, 2002. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Ben Arnold where she was a member of the Women's Guild. Two brothers, Raymond Pimpler and Ervin Pimpler also preceded her in death. Mrs. Brewer, a homemaker and farmer was born March 16, 1914 in Cameron to Ernest and Antonia (Kahler) Brod. She was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church in Cameron where she taught Sunday school for many years. She married Sam Brewer and he preceded her in death in 1995.     William F. Bridger, 77 of Cameron and formerly of Waco died Tuesday, May 31, 2005 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Rev. Chamberlain, Ollie Gray
    Ollie Gray Chamberlain, 79 of Cameron died Tuesday, August 23, 2005 in a Temple hospital. Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Cameron with Rev. Gary Maroney officiating. Mr. Chamberlain was born July 28, 1926 in Reagan to Homer Gray and Stella (Butler) Chamberlain. He was raised in Cameron and worked with his dad at Chamberlain & Sons Dairy. He served in the Navy Air Force during WWII. He married Mary Irene Bowser on December 29, 1950. He owned Chamberlain Drug from 1959 until 1962. He worked for Cameron I.S.D. from 1964 until 1970, for the City of Waxahachie from 1970 until 1980 when he went to work for Ellis County where he helped to establish the Ellis County Appraisal District. After retirement in 1987 he returned to Cameron to settle. He was a life member of the San Andres Lodge #170 A.F. & A.M. His brothers, Bert and Tommy preceded him in death.     Hilda Elizabeth Burke Clark, known as "Baby Girl", 96, died Wednesday, January 12, 2005 in Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m. Monday, January 17, at Heights Funeral Home in Houston. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Pavilion in Cameron. Mrs.Clark was born October 25, 1908 in Tracy, Texas. She was the youngest of ten children of Della Dacy Davis and James Clark Burke. She lived in Cameron until married William I. Clark, Jr. on June 12, 1937, and from then on resided in Houston. He preceded her in April, 1994 after 57 years of marriage. She is survived by: Daughter: Carolyn C. Conley, Homer Lee
    Homer Lee Conley, 93 of Cameron died Friday, April 29, 2005 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2005 at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Eugene VanNoord officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Conley was born September 5, 1911 in Chilton to Robert C. and Alice Vandora (Shirley) Conley. He had worked for several companies most notably; Kestenbaum Grocery, McLane's, Snow White Laundry, City Steam, Coca Cola Bottling and Holloway Laundry. He married Wilma Allie Johnson and she preceded him in death in 1998. Mr. Conley was a member of the Cameron Church of Christ. Seven siblings also preceded him in death. Jim Lafferty officiating. Mrs. Corona, a homemaker, was born February 9, 1923 in Cold Spring, Texas to Castulo Trevino and Pedra Benevides. She married Francisco Corona in January of 1940. She was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista in Cameron. She is preceded in death by her husband Francisco, sons Thomas and Damion, and siblings Ruth Camacho, Betty De La Rosa, Lupe Trevino, Inez Cruz, and Manuel Trevino. Mrs. Cowan, a homemaker and retired hairdresser was born September 7, 1922 in Maysfield to Rufus A. and Myrtle (Brooks) Miller. She married her husband Riley V. Cowan in 1943 and he preceded her in death on December 21, 1982. Mrs. Cowan volunteered in various activities for more than 15 years. Seven siblings also preceded her in death.     Ruth Crook, 93 of Cameron died Monday, February 14, 2005 in a Cameron hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Angel officiating. Burial will follow in the Little River Cemetery near Jones Prairie. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Crook was born October 17, 1911 in Milam County to James Addison and Lillie (Minerva) Brand. She married Homer Crook on October 14, 1932 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 1983. She and her husband owned and operated a grocery store and later a meat locker plant in Cameron. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Cameron. Her sister Rowena Brand and a grandson Chris Matula also preceded her in death. Culpepper, Deana Casey
    Deana Casey Culpepper, 51 passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at her home in Cedar Springs after a long courageous battle with lung cancer. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday in Cameron at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Friday at 10:30 a.m. to proceed to the Culpepper Family Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service officiated by Pastor Oscar Smart. Deana was born November 11th, 1953 in Rosebud, Texas. She has lived in the central Texas area for most of her life. Everyone that really knew her was impressed by her unique sense of humor. She loved nature and all of her animals especially her precious Spanky. She was a beautiful person inside and out. It is her time now to go and be with the Lord and she will be truly missed. She was such an inspiration and the ones that knew her were truly blessed. She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace Culpepper, Jr. and her Father Oran A. Casey. She is survived by her mother Ruby Dudley and step-father Finis; mother-in-law, Martha Culpepper; Sister Darlene Steele and her husband Curtis; sister, Jo Rountree and husband Gordon; step-sister Linda Standly and husband Ronnie; step-sister Pam Emerson and husband Scott; nephews Curtis Ray Steele, Jamie Steele, Travis Neumann, and Trent Neumann. Deana wanted to express a special Thank You to all her friends and loved ones that called and sent prayers. He then looked down upon this Earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful. He always takes the best. He knew that you would never get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb. So, he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered "Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you the day God called you home.     Capt. Leo C. Cummings, U. S. Army retired, 87, of Cameron died Saturday, January 15, 2005 in a Temple hospital. Graveside services with full military honors will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill. Family visitation will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Capt. Cummings was born January 24, 1917 in Rising Star to Jesse James and Ola Mae (Settles) Cummings. Serving in both World War II and the Korean conflict, Capt. Cummings was recipient of the Purple Heart, 5 Bronze stars, a Silver Star and a distinguished unit citation. He married Hope Brown and she preceded him in death on August 18, 1993. After his retirement from the Army, he worked for Southwest Chevrolet in Fort Worth and Pearl Beer. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2010, Edwin Hardy Post #9 American Legion and the San Andres Lodge #174 A.F.& A.M.     Thomas Harwell, 67, of Cameron died Thursday, July 7, 2005, in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Jim Lafferty and Rev. Ray Vinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Little River Cemetery near Jones Prairie. Mr. Harwell, a retired insurance agent for American National Insurance Company who enjoyed hunting and fishing, was born August 18, 1937 in Milam County to Joseph and Nora (Crawford) Harwell. He married June Williams on December 21, 1957 and she preceded him in death in 2003. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Cameron. Mr. Harwell was a thirty year member of the State Fireman's and Fire Marshall's Association of which he was currently serving as President and had served on its executive board for five years. He was past president of the Central Texas District Fireman and Fire Marshall's Association and a member of the Cameron Volunteer Fire Department for over 34 years where he had served as Fire Chief for 19 years.     Dr. Hensley, a Chiropractor, was born April 29, 1952 in Cameron to Charles and Susie Hensley. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Cameron. Dr. Hensley practiced in Temple for 23 years at the Diagnostic and Pain Clinic.

Jerry was a life long farmer, blacksmith and rancher in the Marak community. He was born October 11, 1909 in the North Elm community to Joseph and Anna (Cerny) Kostroun. He married Gertrude Jistel on October 23, 1940 and she preceded him in death on January 9, 2000. He was a life long member of St. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church at Marak, a member of KJT Society #39, and a life member of the Knights of Columbus. He was an active member of the Marak community serving as a church council member and was instrumental in reestablishing the Marak Public School in the early fifties. Mann, Robert Wayne
    Robert Wayne Mann, Cameron resident since 1953 and for 30 years the area's chief conservationist for the Soil Conservation Service (SCS), died Thursday, March 10, 2005 in a Cameron hospital. He was 89. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Rev. Mike O'Neil officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Mann was born September 10, 1915 in Jacksboro to William Butler and Pansy Evelyn (Grey) Mann. He attended Texas Tech University. He married Vivian Louise Meroney on May 8, 1943. He served in the U. S. Army Air Corps in North Africa and Italy in W.W. II. In 1953 he was named Unit Conservationist for the SCS. Mr. Mann served as commander of the Edwin Hardy Post #9 American Legion and was founder and president of the city's Babe Ruth Baseball League in the late 1950' and early '60s. He was a 50 year Mason and was an active member of the San Andres Lodge in Cameron. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cameron and the Cameron Rotary Club.     Donald Glynn (Don) Obermiller, 67, of Cameron died Saturday, March 19, 2005 in a Temple hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Rev. Elizabeth Hanley officiating. Burial will follow in the Ben Arnold Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Obermiller, a retired grounds crewman for the Olin Teague V.A. Medical Center, was born May 9, 1937 in Rogers to Walter E. and Nada (McAnulty) Obermiller. He married Delois Pimpler on July 8, 1958. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam conflict and then retired from the U. S. Army reserves. Mr. Obermiller was a member of the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2010, the Edwin Hardy Post #9 American Legion, D.A.V. Temple chapter, a member of the Cameron Evening Lions Club and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. One son, Daniel Glynn Obermiller preceded him in death March 8, 1980. Family visitation will be held Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Mr. Pack, a rancher, was born January 31, 1909 in Troy to Thomas and Callie (Snodgrass) Pack.     Michael Bradley (Mike) Peck, 48 of Cameron died Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at his home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home with Rev. James E. Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron. Family visitation will be held Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mike, managing editor for the Cameron Herald, was born December 16, 1956 in Marlin to Billy Eugene and Lillie Mae (Martin) Peck. He was a graduate of C. H. Yoe High School. He married Kim Bouchillon on April 10, 1982. Recipient of numerous awards for his news writing, sports coverage and photography, Mike chronicled the life of Cameron, Texas in his editorials and photographs for over 32 years. He was a member of the Texas Press Association. Mike was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cameron. Burial will follow in the Little River Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, March 11 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Mrs. Pool, a homemaker, was born January 12, 1911 in Maysfield to Otis and Emma (Blasienz) Franklin. She married Wilson Pool and he preceded her in death in 1981. Mr. Reimer was born February 4, 1935 in Milam County to Philip and Emma (Randermann) Reimer. Bud served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict and retired after 27 years. Mrs. Sessums was born October 20, 1915 to Elmer and Lois (Dudley) Cox in Jewett, where she lived until 1936. At that time she married Samuel Mounts and moved to Hearne. She lived in Robertson County for over 40 years and retired from GATX where she had worked in the payroll department for 27 years. She then moved to Milam County where she has lived for over 20 years. She was a member of the Little River Baptist Church where she served as treasurer for more than 13 years and an active church member all her adult life. Her first husband of 55-1/2 years preceded her in death, as did her parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Survivors include: Husband Aubry L.
