Mrs. Acosta, a homemaker, was born June 30, 1935 in Milam County to Emilio and Aurora (Bernal) Olivarri. She married Thomas Ponce Acosta on January 19, 1951 and he preceded her in death in June 1969. Survivors include sons; Thomas, Richard, and Carl Wayne Acosta all of Cameron. Daughters; Rosie Mendoza of Cameron, Lorrie Stringfellow of Newton, and Trish Vargas of Cameron. Brothers; Emilio Olivarri, Jr. of Houston, Frank, Tony, and Willie Olivarri of Cameron and Tommy Olivarri of Houston. Ms. Bain, a science teacher at Buckholts I.S.D. for over 23 years, was born January 25, 1947 in Pittsfield, MA to Beecher T. and Mary (Ruff) Bain. She was a graduate of the University of Houston. While teaching at Buckholts, she was instrumental in starting Students Talking About Resistance (STAR) program, she was a member of the Badger Booster Club, the Cheerleader and Pep Squad sponsor, the PTO and was currently serving as the 10th grade sponsor. She was a member of Westminister Methodist Church and the Buckholts Lions Club. She was preceded in death by her father in 1998. Survivors include children; Kimber Gross of Houston, Shannon Elliott of Buckholts, Robin Elliott McFarland and husband Brian of Georgetown, and Thomas R. Elliott III and wife Andrea of Buckholts. Her mother, Mary R. Bain of Houston, a brother, Randle T. Bain and wife Susan of Waller. Sisters, Karen B. McLin and husband Travis of Lufkin, Mary Lynn Booth and husband Paul of Missouri City, and Linda Jean Bain of Needville. Mrs. Barmor, a telephone operator, was born October 21, 1906 in Leon County to M.B. and Mary Della (Smith) Lansford. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cameron. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Barmore. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Black, a retired transportation superintendent for Phillips Petroleum, was born on January 19, 1917 in Cameron. He married Virginia Clapshaw. He was an U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Gus Brandt Masonic Lodge in Houston. Mrs. Cass, a homemaker, was born October 16, 1914 in the Salty Community of Milam County to Walter Lee and Maggie (Caffey) Tucker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cameron. Survivors include: Son, Walter Shoaf & wife Dorothy of Liberty; Brothers, James (Red) Tucker of Cameron and Johnnie Tucker of Enid, Oklahoma. Ms. Cole was born June 25, 1927 in Chriesman to Will Neal and Agnes (Boggans) Baggett. She was raised by Nora Pemberton after her mother died in child birth. Ms. Cole had worked as a dispatcher with the Cameron Police Department. She had also worked at O. J. Thomas School in Cameron, the Milam County Clerks office and for Southwestern Bell Telephone. She was a member of the First Assembly of God church. She was preceded in death by 1 child, 5 brothers, H.V. Pemberton, W.C. Pemberton, E.M. Pemberton, Dick Baggett and Travis Baggett and by 4 sisters, Cora Partee, Bessie Mertink, Ida Nichols, and Richard Sefcik. Ms. Eberhardt, a homemaker, was born October 4, 1946, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to George and Pauline (Slavens) McGuire. Mr. Ermis, a heavy equipment operator, was born on December 28, 1925 in Milam County to John Joe and Annie (Kamenicky) Ermis. He married Bettye Lou Gibbs on October 18, 1957. He was retired from the Texas Department of Transportation. He was an Army veteran having served during WW II and was a member of the VFW Post 2010. He is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Bettye Ermis of Cameron; a son, Steve Ermis of Temple; daughters, Deborah Goin of Sparks, NV, Marilyn Ulicnik of Cameron and Carol Beth Ermis of College Station. Mr. Glaser, Maintenance Supervisor, was born July 20, 1940 in Cameron to Robert & Cleo Glaser. He had retired from Texas Utilities in 1992. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Christopher (Joe) Seth Fergerson, and brother-in-law Frankie Joe Hubnik. Mr. Holder, a self employed lawn care serviceman, was born July 8, 1956 in Cameron to Robert Lewis and Dorothy May (Hill) Holder. He was a member of the Buckholts Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years, where he was serving as the current Fire Chief. He was a graduate of Buckholts High School and a member of the Buckholts Betterment Association and volunteered for the Buckholts Cotton Festival for many years. Mr. Inge, a farmer, was born July 28, 1916 in Kirkley, Texas to Will and Audie (Hall) Inge. He married Flora Inge on September 2, 1939. In addition to farming Mr. Inge worked at Wilson Art International for over 22 years. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church where he had served as Deacon. He was active in Boy Scouts, 4H, FFA and the Buckholts Betterment Association. Survivors include his wife, Flora Inge of Buckholts; Children, Peggy & Carroll Jungmann of Allen, Stella & Calvin Travers of Seagoville, Arthur (Buddy) Inge, Jr. & wife Karen of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and Pat & Gary Maypole of Highland Haven. Mrs. Jones was born July 3, 1923 in Bell County to Edward Lee and Elsie Tracy (Schiller) Tomasek. She married Morris Marvin Jones and he preceded her in death in 1995. She had run the Buckholts grocery store for many years. A great grandson, Jordan Jones and a sister, Laverne Tomascik preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Linda A. Culp of Thorndale; 5 sons, Morris M. Jones, Jr. of Cameron, Richard D. Jones of Alvin, Allen R. Jones of Temple, Michael W. Jones of Gatesville, and Matthew D. She was born January 27, 1951 in Cameron, Texas to Delma and Ann (Kohutek) Meek. Doris worked for the Texas Commission for the Blind in Austin for over 32 years where she was Manager of Information Resources. She was a 27 year resident of Cedar Park and was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church. Doris was preceded in death by a brother, James Meek. Mr. Lanning was born on February 3, 1942 in Dayton, TX to Otis Jess and Gladys Virginia Calvin Lanning. Mr. Lanning was a steelworker and operated the Keaton Steel Building company. Mr. Lannnig was preceeded in death by Larry Lanning. Survivors include 4 sons, Joe of Hockley, Keith of Livingston, Keaton Nathan of Burton, and Tommy Walshak of Magnolia; a daughter, Cindy Malone of Minerva; 1 brother, Gene lanning of New Waverly; 3 sisters, Jo Ann Hubert of Minera, Linda Baker and Annete McMahon, both of New Waverly; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren also survive. Mr. McLaughlin was born March 8, 1926 in Taylor to Tom and Mamie (Storns) McLaughlin. He married Dorothy Marie Richter and he served in the U. S. Marine Corps during World War II. Mr. McLaughlin had worked as a Department of Public Safety Trooper, then he worked for Allstate Insurance and later for Schlumberger. Two sisters, Joan Lane and Frances McLaughlin preceded him in death. Survivors include: His wife, +Dorothy Marie McLaughlin of The Woodlands; Son, Brian McLaughlin of Spring; Daughter, Lynne Sandiford of The Woodlands; 5 Grandchildren, Stacey Murchison, Heather Sandiford, Jennifer Reynolds, Cindy Luna, Angela Schultz; Great Grandchild, Wesley Luna.
Mrs. McLeod, a retired school teacher, was born October 22, 1903 in Morgan, Texas to Rufus and Sally (Hornbuckle) Belcher. She was Valedictorian of her Morgan High School graduating class. She married Raymond McLeod in 1924 and he preceded her in death in 1983. She taught at both private and public schools for over 28 years, at the old Cameron Mexican School, St. Monica's Catholic School and Ben Arnold School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cameron where she taught Sunday School in the primary department and served in the WMU. Eleven siblings also preceded her in death. Survivors include: Son, Dr. Raymond McLeod, Jr. of Austin; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Mr. Millian was born to immigrant parents, Adolf and Anna Milian who were farmers living near Temple. He lived in Temple, Fort Worth and then most of his adult life in Belton. He was employed at Fort Hood as a helicopter mechanic until he retired with medical disabilities in 1973. Survivors include: His wife of 63 years, Lorene Kuzel Millian; Two children, Joe David Milian and Charlotte Rowland; Sister, Agnes Michalik and 3 grandchildren. Parker, James L.
Mr. Parker, a retired electrical engineer for Public Service Co. of Colorado, was born February 25, 1917 in Llano to Terrell Scott and Jewel L. (Whittenberg) Parker. He was an U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He married Clara Ella Dietz on March 4, 1943 and she preceded him in death in 1977. After the death of his first wife, Mr. Parker married Bonnelle Hester Perkins and she preceded him in death in 1994. He was a member of the Milam County Church of Christ. Two brothers, Orval and Glenn Parker and one sister, Evelyn Hess also preceded him in death. Survivors include: Sons, James Scott Parker of Greenville, Texas and Jeffrey Mack Parker of Cedar Park.
Mrs. Pimpler, a homemaker, was born October 11, 1916 to Edward and Emma (Abel) Adler in Wallis, Texas. She was baptized and confirmed in the Luthern faith at an early age. She later moved with her parents to Milam County and there became a member of St. James Evangelical & Reform Church where she married Edmund Pimpler on November 11, 1936. She and her husband were faithful members of the Christian Fellowship Church of Ben Arnold (formerly United Church of Christ in Ben Arnold) for many years. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Leonard, Emil and Mike Adler and two sisters Elenora Sitz and Emelia Werchen. Mr. Posival, a retired machine operator for a door manufacturing plant, was born January 12, 1921 in Cameron to Stanley H. and Mary (Stalmach) Posival. He was an U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He married Josephine Kretschmar on February 14, 1949. Mr. Posival was a member of the Buckholts Brethren Church. A sister, Irene Mitchell, preceded him in death. Mrs. Puente, a homemaker was born November 22, 1926 in Cameron to Cevedo Correa and Paula Castellon. She was a Catholic. Mrs. Richter, a homemaker, was born January 22, 1915 in Buckholts to Julius and Frances (Zajicek) Ruzicka. She married Johnnie A. Richter. Mrs. Richter was an active member of St. Monica's Catholic Church where she was involved with the homebound ministries. She was preceded in death by several siblings. Survivors include: Husband, Johnnie A. Richter of Cameron; Son, Dr. Johnnie Richter and wife Sandra of Rogers; Daughter, Dr. Jeannette Cunningham of Waco; Brother, Jack D. Ruzicka of Buckholts; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Rinn, a homemaker, was born July 31, 1912 in Yarrellton to N. D. and Josie (Clements) Fuller. She married W. O. Rinn on November 11, 1933 and he preceded her in death on August 16, 1998. She had worked at the Backdoor Shop and J. C. Penney in Cameron. She was a member of the Crockett Street Church of Christ, the Central Texas Hospital Ladies Auxiliary and the Cameron Bowling Association. Survivors include: Sons, Dell Rinn & wife Shirley of Houston and Warren Rinn & wife Mary Ann of Cameron; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild also survive.
Mrs. Roberts was born May 17, 1911 to Michael Oliver and Josie (Hutton) Bailey. She married Vernon E. Roberts on December 6, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 1976. Mrs. Roberts owned and operated an upholstery shop in Davilla for many years. She was a member of Davilla Baptist Church. Four brothers and 3 sisters also preceded her in death. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Robison was born January 17, 1923 in Cameron to John and Mattie Hill Wilkerson. Mrs. Robison was a homemaker. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Ray and 1 great grandchild, Zachary Fisher. Survivors include a son, Charles Robison and his wife Peggy of Thorndale; a daughter, Carolyn Temple and husband Mike of Rockdale; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Rummel, the oldest of ten children, was born to John and Anna (Stoerner) Rummel on September 12, 1910 near Cayote, Texas. He attended Ad Hall School for 6 years and then they moved to the Vogelsang-Ben Arnold area in 1925. Albert married Leona Annie Lucko on December 12, 1934 at the Vogelsang Church and she preceded him in death in 1999. He worked as a farmer and rancher. Survivors include his son, Leon and wife Evelyn Rummel of Bryan; a sister, Fay Kohutek of College Station; a granddaughter, Brenda Goswick & husband Cameron of Sugar Land; and Great grandchildren Connor, Cullen, and Jillian. Mrs. Sawyer was born in Maysfield on June 20, 1936 to Henry Madison and Allie Harbor Holloway. She was a health care worker for Girling. Mrs. Sawyer was preceeded in death by 4 brothers and a sister. Survivors include her husband, Wesley Sawyer; 2 sons, Allen Sikes of Mt. Homes, ARK. and Kenneth Peterson of San Antonio; a daughter, Tina Sikes of Little Rock, ARK.; 2 brothers, Billy Ray Holloway of Burleson and John Denson of Pasadena, TX; 4 sisters, Hazel Steele of Tomball, Fay Janes of Dallas, Ann Webb of Rosenburg, and Nyla Lynn Holloway from Fredricksburg; 4 grandchildren also survive.
She married Howell Winston Setzer in 1942. They owned and operated Setzer Hardware in Nederland until 1973. Mr. Setzer preceded her in death in 1983. Survivors include her daughter, Jayne E. Mr. Shaw, an electrician journeyman, was born November 26, 1959 in Milam County to Ossie Stewart and Mary Lillian (York) Shaw. He loved his family and fishing. Survivors include his daughters, Virginia Shaw of Thorndale and Victoria Everhart of Washington, D.C.; Parents, Ossie and Mary Shaw of Cameron; Sisters, Donna Kenney of Cameron and Marilyn Seelke of Temple; 1 grandchild also survives. Mr. Tabler was born May 19, 1911 in Cameron to Lawrence Guy and Bessie Grant Tabler. He was an electrician by trade and a veteran of the US Navy. He is survived by 3 sisters, Helen V. Butler of Cameron, Ruth Wildgrube of Oklahoma, and Emma Marie Mitchan of Cameron.
Mrs. Terry was born February 16, 1919 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Lynn and Irene (Williams) Harper. She married James A. Terry on April 27, 1956. She had worked as Cameron City Secretary for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cameron. Five brothers, Dowdell Harper, Guy Harper, Cordell Harper, Ottis Harper, Linolan Harper and two sisters, Louise Hazelwood and Wyvona Cummings, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, James A. Terry of Cameron; a son, Billy Keith Needham & wife Barbara of Cameron; Sisters, Emarene Hudspeth of Abilene and Jessie Owings of Cameron; 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Thweatt, retired postmistress for Maysfield, was born December 14, 1912 in Bell County to Thomas Franklyn and Minnie Gladys (Rae) Floyd. She married Vaughn (Dock) Thweatt June 16, 1930 and he preceded her in death in 1995. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cameron and a member of the Jones Prairie 42 club. Three brothers and one sister also preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Thweatt of Cameron, Danny Thweatt of Houston and Gary Thweatt of Cameron; a daughter, LaVerne (Skeet) Thweatt of Cameron; Sister, Dorothy McKelvey of Austin; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Tyson was born April 15, 1938 in Manning Texas to Tom F. and Cora E. Havard. She had worked as a waitress for many years. She married Murfee Roy Tyson and he preceded her in death. Three sisters and one brother also preceded her in death.
