Traditional Services

Saying goodbye to someone we love is a most painful experience. A traditional funeral service is a celebration of one's life. Family and friends give emotional and physical support to one another. Survivors are helped in coping with their grief and moving forward with their lives.

Cremation Services

If cremation is preferable, we offer several options. You might prefer a cremation casket and have a visitation and service with your loved one present. Or you may choose a memorial service and interment of the cremains. You may want to select from our choice of beautiful urns in which to keep the cremains. We can assist you with any of these options.

Veterans Services

There is nothing that pays tribute to our deceased veterans more than military honors for those who proudly served our country. Military Honor Guards have become increasingly harder to schedule. However, our local American Legion, V.F.W. and D.A.V. are most cooperative at a Veterans Service. The tribute includes a reading by the Post Commander, the playing of taps, and presentation of the U.S. flag to the family. We can arrange for your family a respectful and fitting tribute to honor your loved one. We also assist families in filing for V.A. Burial benefits, grave markers, and a flag (if desired) to use on the casket.
Marek-Burns-Laywell can assist your family with the necessary arrangement information on how your loved one can be interred at one of the National Cemeteries (Dallas/Ft. Worth; Houston; San Antonio; El Paso) within the state.

Pre-Need Services

This is a service available for planning a funeral before the time of need. You are able to make casket and vault selections, as well as plans for the memorial service, minister, pallbearers and music, etc. By paying for this plan now, you are freezing the future cost of your service at today's prices. You can have the peace of mind, that at the time of need, your family will be relieved of making those difficult decisions.

Out-of-State Services

We are available to transport and conduct services out of county (Texas) or in making the necessary arrangements for those who require out-of-state graveside or church services.

Transportation Services

When death occurs and the deceased needs to be carried to another destination, we can help with those arrangements. Whether it means getting to the airport or transportation to your local funeral home (within Texas), even as far as to our southern border neighbor, Mexico.
